Implementation Methodology
Implementation of an ERP by EMSPL is considered completed once required functionality is delivered and knowledge of the usage of the ERP provided to Core team of Client. It consists of SRS, Conference Room Pilot and Proof Of Concept and One month Transition Phase then Rollout.

1. Appointing the coordinator & Core Implementation team 1 week
2. System Study and Requirement Definition and Approval from users/client 4 weeks
3. Seminar on brief of product & Client's Business Process Mapped in the Product 1 week
4. Definition of Business rules, Masters and Transactions with sample transaction or one month data 4 weeksPer location
5. Reports Approval & modifications 2 weeks
6. Training to Core Implementation 1 week
7. Supervising Training to user (given by core team member) 1 week
8. Proof of Concept completion
9. One Month Transition support & Roll Out 4 weeks


Modus operandi:
1. Appointing the coordinator and Core Team:
Customer should appoint a full-time 'coordinator' & a Chief of ERP Project (for crucial decision & preferably from top management) in consultation with New-Era Soft-Tech Services. It is recommended that he or she should be through with all the key functions as well as the 'basic business cycle' of the user organization. EMSPL (Enterprise Division) will impart necessary training to coordinator and Core Team,(specifically on REPORT Designer, Data structure) to reduce dependability on us and gain confidence in the system .
2. System Study:
Team of business analyst and functional experts would perform the study of each and every functional area of client's business

Findings of the study will provide the total evaluation of business process of the organization, providing action plan for the effective and efficient business process recommended by them with specific emphasis on the information system requirement for the ERP software and Mapping the need with Edge Enterprise ERP solution.
Approval from the user department is essential part.
Delivery as per SRS

EMSPL will provide ERP solution as detailed in SRS and demonstrate the same to core team.
3. Seminar:
A special seminar is conducted to discuss implementation methodologies and I. T. setup at the customer premises.
Main objectives of such a seminar is as follows:
- Entire Edge Enterprise package is presented in great details during the seminar.
- The selection of a responsible person in each department for smooth handling of data collection / entry / exchange.
- Privileges & passwords based on the norms fixed for data security.
- Assess hardware requirement details to get the optimum performance for Edge Enterprise package depending on the version being implemented.
Post Seminar activity:
All necessary transaction files are prepared and kept ready which will be required in the next step for data entry. One-month live data of each and every type of transactions or set of transaction covering full cycle of business operation is entered.
4. Definition of Business rules, Masters and Transactions:
All relevant business processes for each modules selected is explained by the coordinator. Than preparation of master information and transaction data entry begins. Actual users carry out the data entry after appropriate training by us.
Transaction data entry:
One-month live data is entered - physical files were made and kept ready in the previous step. This will ensure that no activity is missed during the pilot run.
5. Reports Approval:
Reports are generated based on master file creation & one month transaction data.. Essential and statutory reports are given priority. Outputs are distributed to all relevant heads of the departments. Valuable suggestions are received and if necessary certain parameterization / customization is carried out.

Coordinator will give the reports to users. Users will carefully examine all the reports.

The coordinator will moderate and communicate all these feedback to EMSPL (Enterprise Division). Once satisfactory level is achieved approval in writing will help freezing the specifications.
6. Training to Core Team
Core implementation team of ERP will be trained by the consultant of EMSPL for functionality and usage of the product and Technical issue about administration of software, its data structure and usage of report designer.
7. Training to User by Core Team
The objective of this training is to confirm the transfer of knowledge to the core team about the functionality of the product and make users aware about the usage of the product.
8. Proof of Concept Over:
Above trial is a 'Proof of Concept' of total functionality of ERP software on the data provided. After all successful implementation and training the 'final' version of the product is handed over to the client.
9 One month Execution Support & 'Roll-out':
Consultant from EMSPL will supervise the execution of the product for one-month period then there will be Rollout from the organization.

Usually all above steps may take in the range of 15 to 20 weeks, depending upon size, complexity, and customization.

With the 'Roll-out' EMSPL (Enterprise Division)' staff will leave. Then client may opt for AMC with EMSPL (Enterprise Division) if required.
